What’s included in the iPhone in DaVinci Resolve Starter Kit?

Three tools for grading and finishing Apple Log iPhone footage in DaVinci Resolve:

• 5 Node SuperGrade: a 5-node colour grade built for Apple Log footage, where each node handles one job, so you can adjust what you need and leave the rest alone. A solid starting point on any iPhone project.

• Apple Log LUT Pack (3 LUTs): three cinematic LUTs made for iPhone Apple Log footage. Drop them into Resolve and apply directly to your Log clip. Three looks to suit any edit.

• Safe Zones Overlay Plugin (.drfx): adds safe-zone guides for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn right in your Resolve timeline. Install once and it's there every time you open the app.

Who are these products for?

Mostly independent creators, YouTubers, and small production teams who edit in DaVinci Resolve and shoot on iPhone. The tools are built to solve real frustrations I had myself, so they work best for people who want clean results without a complex workflow.

Where can I buy the products?

All products are sold through Gumroad. You can find them linked directly on this page. The free LUT is available with no purchase required.

K&F Concept 67mm VND (1-9 Stop) Filter This is what saves me on bright daylight shoots. It lets me stay at 24fps and a 1/50th shutter without blowing out the footage, so I still get that proper cinematic motion blur even shooting at midday.
SmallRig Dual Magnetic Phone Tripod This is what lets me shoot on my phone without a clamp, it just works with MagSafe. It's small too, folds up and fits in a bag without any fuss, so I always have it on me.
DJI Mic Mini This is what I use because it works with my camera and my phone at the same time over Bluetooth, a receiver for each. For under £50 that's honestly a steal.
Blackmagic Camera App This is what lets me shoot Log on the iPhone and actually dial in proper settings instead of just pointing and shooting. It's the app that makes the phone usable for real work.
Neewer iPhone 16 Pro Case with Lens Mount (MagSafe) This is the case on my iPhone 16 Pro. It's got mounts for different lenses but MagSafe still works underneath, and it doesn't have some weird bulky cover for third party glass, it just looks like a normal case.
Lexar 128GB V90 SD Card This is what I pair with the Kondor Blue module to record Apple Log in the Blackmagic Camera app. V90 keeps up with the bitrate so nothing drops mid take, and 128GB holds a proper amount of footage before I need to think about it.
Kondor Blue Recording Module (MagSafe, iPhone 16 Pro) This is what I use with my iPhone 16 Pro, MagSafe again, and it lets me record straight to the Lexar card instead of eating into storage on the phone.

The Safe Zones plugin works with DaVinci Resolve 17 and above, including the free version. The LUTs and the 5 Node SuperGrade work in any version of Resolve, and the LUTs also work in most other editing apps.

I create DaVinci Resolve tutorials, iPhone filmmaking guides, and digital products for independent video creators. My work focuses on making professional editing workflows accessible without expensive gear or a studio setup.

There are four products available on Gumroad. The Safe Zones Plugin (£5) adds broadcast-safe overlay guides directly into DaVinci Resolve. The 5 Node Super Grade (£5) is a colour grading node tree for Resolve. The Cinematic Apple Log LUT Pack for Apple Log 1 and Apple Log 2 (£9) gives you three creative looks for iPhone LOG footage, and the Starter Bundle which includes all three products for only £15. There is also a free LUT download available. No payment needed, just a sign-up.

Yes. There is a free LUT download that works with DaVinci Resolve and most editing apps. I also publish tutorials and guides on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram covering iPhone filmmaking and Resolve workflows.

DaVinci Resolve is a professional video editing and colour grading application made by Blackmagic Design. It is free to download and genuinely powerful. I focus on it because it is the best free option for creators who want professional-level results, and most tutorials online are aimed at broadcast professionals rather than everyday creators.

You can find tutorials and behind-the-scenes content on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. For products and downloads, this page and Gumroad are the main places. There is also an email list via Gumroad for product updates.

I have been shooting and editing since 2013, starting with iPhone photography before moving into architecture photography and iPhone cinematic video. I relocated from Johannesburg to London in 2018. I am self-taught in DaVinci Resolve and have completed Blackmagic's official training. My day job is photo editing at a property marketing company, and I am building toward working for myself full-time.
